Bronx Lacrosse adds Andrew Copelan to its Board of Directors
Bronx Lacrosse is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew Copelan to its Board of Directors. Andrew is no stranger to Bronx Lacrosse, as he has been involved with the program since 2018 by supporting participants through different lacrosse experiences and events.
Andrew currently works at the Greenwich Country Day School while serving a role with development and as the first ever Head Boys Varsity Lacrosse Coach at the school. Andrew is also the current head coach of the Waterdogs Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). He was recently named the PLL’s 2021 Coach of the Year while leading the Waterdogs to a 2021 Regular Season Championship. Prior to his time at the Greenwich Country Day School and the PLL, Andrew was the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Fairfield University for 11 years where he set the school record for wins in a season (12) twice and finished his career with a record of 88-78 and the highest winning percentage in school history.
Andrew currently resides in Connecticut with his three children and wife Caitlin, who is also an active member in the lacrosse community as the Girls Varsity Coach at the Greenwich Country Day School and as the Director of Sound Lacrosse LLC.
“I love what Bronx Lacrosse stands for and what it's doing for kid's lives. It's an honor to join Dan's team and I hope to help add value to what is an already outstanding organization.” said Copelan.
Please join us in welcoming Andrew to our board! We are excited about the unique perspective and passion he will bring to our Board of Directors and to the Bronx Lacrosse organization as a whole.
