The Bronx Lacrosse
College Access Initiative
A Multi-year, $5 million Campaign to Transform College and Career Outcomes for Bronx boys and girls
Phase 1: The College Access Center
Bronx Lacrosse transforms lives by meeting students where they are—and helping them see where they can go. For most of our students, Bronx Lacrosse is the first place they experience consistent mentorship, academic support, and the expectation that post-secondary education—whether community college, trade school, college, or university—is not only possible, it’s the plan.
The College Access Center at 818 River Avenue will be a safe space for all Bronx Lacrosse families and their children to receive 1:1 college access counseling, programming and support.
Phase 2: Achievement
Deepen our impact by investing in our core programming—starting with 6th graders to build a strong foundation early. By supporting students from middle school through college graduation, we put them in the best position to succeed academically and access postsecondary opportunities.
Expand our program to additional middle schools and high schools in the South Bronx, with the strategic goal of serving 500 kids.
Invest in a college counseling team to provide students with the support they need to navigate the college admissions process.
Free our students from the expense of college visits and recruitment trips.
Phase 3: Advancement
Helping our college students secure robust internships and post-graduation job placements by building out our job placement programming with the support necessary to help our alumni navigate the job application process.
