Meet our Honoree & Trailblazer Award Recipients

Honoree: Scott Bacigalupo

Scott Bacigalupo is a Managing Director and co-head of the Capital and Public Markets Group at Allen & Company where he focuses on the public equity markets, equity capital markets, and large equity transactions. Prior to joining Allen in 2015, he led the Americas Equities business for Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was responsible for all trading, distribution, electronic, and capital markets businesses. Scott graduated from Princeton University where he won two national championships and was a four-time All-American. He currently serves as the President for Bronxville Youth Lacrosse and Assistant Coach for the Bronxville Varsity Girls, while he is also an Assistant Coach for Predators Lacrosse and a contributor to the One Love Foundation.


Trailblazer recipient: tari kandemiri

Tari Kandemiri was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and emigrated to the United States with her family in 2004. She discovered her love for lacrosse after picking up a stick in the 9th grade, and shortly thereafter started sharing her passion for the game in 2012 under the Twitter moniker @OfficialLaxGirl, garnering more than 37,000 social media followers as she documents her love for the sport and connects with fans. Ms. Kandemiri is an official Nike athlete and a co-host of the ESPN show “Sound On with Tari and Amari." In addition, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Tewaaraton Foundation and serves as a Lead Clinician for the USA Lacrosse Sankofa Lacrosse Clinic Series, facilitating incredible workshops for Bronx Lacrosse athletes. She commentates for Inside Lacrosse Magazine, the PLL, the NLL, Athletes Unlimited, and World Lacrosse events, including the recent Women’s World Championships. Outside of lacrosse, Tari works in Management Consulting for Consumer Goods companies and is the founder of her own startup, Hama Beauty, a platform that uses data science to recommend beauty and skincare products to consumers.


Trailblazer Recipient: John Ranagan

John Ranagan is an Account Executive at Cohesity, where he works in the Major Financial Services sector. Mr. Ranagan is a native of Yorktown, New York, where he was a two-time All-American for Yorktown High School and received the same honor again at Johns Hopkins University. He has played for 7 years in the National Lacrosse League (NLL), where he was a 2017 World Champion and the 2019 Teammate of the Year. John has played professional field lacrosse for 10 years in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and Professional Lacrosse League (PLL) and was also a member of the 2019 USA National Indoor World Team in British Columbia, Canada. He is the current captain for Chrome LC in the PLL and an avid supporter of Bronx Lacrosse, leading clinics for our student-athletes while serving as an inspiration and role model.
